Glad-rags at the ready — the eGaming Review (EGR) Awards are the most prestigious ceremony in the eGaming sector, that every gaming establishment wants to be nominated for and it’s coming your way this June! Thanks to the video-chat technology that we’ve all become well acquainted with over the last 12 months, the ceremony will take place virtually.

The EGR Marketing & Innovation Awards recognizes the best marketing campaigns released that year by some of the leading operators in gaming in 2021. The judging is based upon the creativity and innovation of the campaigns and this year’s nominees include some giants in the sector like Paddy Power Bingo, Sky Betting & Gaming, and William Hill. The Awards ceremony isn’t just joined by the impressive nominees but has also had some A-list presenters in the past, and we’re here to uncover some of the celebs who have previously graced the EGR Awards stage.

Keith Farnan

Keith Farnan

In 2018, the EGR Operator Awards welcomed Keith Farnan as a presenter. Farnan is a hilarious Irish comedian who has toured internationally and appeared alongside Michael McIntyre on his Comedy Roadshow, along with touring independently and recording a stand-up documentary for Raidió Teilifís Éireann (RTE). He has appeared in some of the world’s best comedy clubs and was guaranteed to get the crowd howling with laughter, with his Irish charm and political satire. Farnan entertained the EGR award attendees, announcing the winners and ensuring that the show went off without a hitch, and without a sore belly in the room from all the laughter.

Richard Keys

Richard Keys

Former Sky Sports anchor Richard Keys is another A-list presenter, who hosted the EGR B2B Awards. Keys is a sports presenter who has an impressive résumé, having worked for the BBC, Sky, Channel 4, and ITV, to name but a few. He is best known for the time that he spent covering the Premier League at Sky Sports and aptly, the 2019 Awards took place at Chelsea Football Club, making Keys the perfect man for the job.

Mark Watson

Mark Watson

The 2019 EGR Operator Awards were hosted by Mark Watson, a critically acclaimed comedian who has won the prestigious Edinburgh Festival Awards and was voted Time Out Critics’ Choice. As well as being an established touring comedian, Watson has also become a TV personality, featuring on the likes of Bear Grylls’ Celebrity Island, Taskmaster, Mock the Week, and Have I Got News for You. Quite frankly, we haven’t got time to mention all of the shows that he has appeared on, so the EGR was thrilled that he found the time to announce the winners at their awards show.

The EGR Awards have previously been hosted by some incredibly talented and entertaining A-listers in the past, who have made the star-studded night even more special for all of the lucky attendees. The only question is, who will be hosting this year’s Marketing & Innovation ceremony? We will have to wait and see!
